Our Medicare ACO, Sentara Accountable Care Organization (or SACO, pronounced “sayco”) brings together groups of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate the care their patients receive and improve quality. SACO has achieved the highest quality scores as awarded by Medicare in the areas of fall risk, diabetes A1C control, tobacco cessation, and depression screening.
